D & M Music studio in cooperation with Siam Ratchada Music School proudly present a Mezzo Soprano Recital by Caroline Vitale a member of Zurich Opera House and on piano collaboration by Peter Baur
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
........Caroline Vitale -Born in Switzerland,studied voice and music education at the Universitiy of Music in Lucerne. She then was a member of the International Opera Studio at the Zurich Opera House, where she appeared in several roles. She has been awarded Ernst-G?hner-Foundation's vocal scholarship, a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Association of Trier, Germany and was a winner in Italy's international voice competition.
........The swiss mezzosoprano sang at the Trier Opera and has been engaged at the Mainz State Opera House, where she debuted with great acclaim in the roles of Octavian, Dorabella, Cherubino, Mother Marie(Poulenc) and Carmen. ........In the last years she sang at the Lucerne Opera House in many principal roles like H?ndel's Oreste,Dinah in Bernsteins'Trouble in Tahiti', Charlotte (Werther), Idamante (Idomeneo), Nicklausse (The Counts of Hoffmann), Orfeo (Orfeo ed Euridice), Concepci?n (L'Heure Espagnole) "The staging lived of the terrific leading singer Caroline Vitale in the part of the watchmaker's wife : her very comical bodylanguage, her impatiently triumphant, well grounded mezzosoprano, her charismatic stage presence."(Neue Musikzeitung, 17.12.2009) , Dejanira (H?ndel's Hercules), Giovanna Seymour in Donizetti's 'Anna Bolena' ",Caroline Vitale sings Givanna with a big, wonderful blooming voice"(Oper-aktuell, 5.3.2011)," Caroline Vitale is a fullblood singing Giovanna" ( Orpheus,Mai 2011) , Hermia (A Midsummer Night's Dream or Medoro (H?ndel's 'Orlando'.etc

........Caroline Vitale has been invited to many Festivals for concerts and recitals in Switzerland, Germany, Italy or France.
Peter Baur, Piano Born in Switzerland, Peter Baur studied with the French pianist Catherine Dalban and at the "Akademie f?r Schul- und Kirchenmusik" of Lucerne. In 1982 he both completed his theory studies in Lucerne and graduated in piano at the SMPV of Basel. In 1984 he was awarded a prize by the Aargau Kuratorium; it included a period of stay at the "Cit? des Arts" in Paris for study purposes. He subsequently followed specialisation courses for Lied accompaniment with Irwin Gage in Zurich and with No?l Lee in Savonlinna. As a guest of the "Hogeschool voor de Kunsten"of Utrecht, from 1988 to 1996 he was an assistant of Professor Udo Reinemann in his class of solo singing. Besides his teaching activity, he engages in the accompaniment of Lieder recitals and masterclasses (Lucerne Festival, "Klangbogen" of Vienna, Festival du P?rigord Pourpre, Festival du P?rigord Noir, Festival d'Auvers-sur-Oise and CIFM of Nice).Since 1999 he has been a professor of vocal ensemble, chamber music and Lied interpretation and at present he is head of the departement classical music at "Hochschule Luzern - Musik" of Lucerne.
