stepped up as the leader of Thailand’s wireless communications by officially
launching “my”, the new 3G wireless service. With its new and modern
identity, a TV commercial was created under the concept ‘Making it happen
for all’, sending the message that this 3G network is available for
everyone in Thailand to equally access the information out there.
........Mr Viroj Tocharoenvanith, acting CEO to CAT Telecom or CAT noted that this has emphasized CAT as the leader of the country’s modern 3G wireless technology. He added that it will improve the quality of Thai people in all possible ways. With its own network, “my” uses this as an advantage to cater to different needs of different groups better. ........He further commented, “Our most important mission, as it’s always been, is to develop good communications systems for Thai people. We hope that “my” will be an alternative for all Thais to have access to 3G technology for better living. “my” stands by its principle in service quality, reasonable pricing and honest and transparent business operation.” Recently “my” TV commercial was released under the theme ‘the promise’. The message CAT wants to send is that “my” 3G network is available for not only city people but also all Thais and in all areas. More information can be easily accessed so that education, business and health care can be improved, under the brand concept “my 3G, for the future of us all”, aired since January 6th 2012. ........Mr Viroj also stated that “my” has a solid business direction that aims at mass customization by tailoring services packages to answer all specific demands, including solution-provider services for corporate customers that require a complex use and integration of various types of telecommunications and information technology. “my” can also provide more simplistic services for personal daily use and business purposes. ¡Ë For 2012’s marketing plan, “my” will be continuing its brand awareness established in 2011 through both below-the-line and above-the-line PR channels, alongside with other marketing campaigns in localized areas for customers to experience. Price plans and packages are suitable for different groups of users. Besides, CAT is planning to open 100-150 CAT shops and “my” shops within 2012. ........The current price plans avaialble are 1) “my Smart”, unlimited 3G service and call airtime for smart phone users at 790 baht a month, 2) “my Click” for heavy internet users via iPads and tablets, starting at 99 baht a month, and 3) “my Talk” for general users, 800 minutes per month, anytime and any network. Initially, all price plans are offered as monthly post-paid. Pre-paid is to be expected in June. |
