a French Icon of House Music. DJ Gregory began his recording career
in the late '90s, producing tracks for the labels Basenotic Records
and Yellow Productions, before affiliating himself with the celebrated
Africanism project and ultimately founding his own label, Faya Combo,
in the new millennium. Two of his signature productions are "Tropical
Soundclash" (2002) and "Elle" (2003). Born Gr?gory Darsa,
he became serious about house music around 1990, when he began making
annual pilgrimages to New York City to explore the city's club scene.
During the early '90s he became known in the French house scene importing

920 Baht Lisa Kohno Up-and-coming Japanese artist Lisa Kohno brilliantly
interpreted Uchiides florescent universe in her whimsical illustrations
for the collection's packaging. A rising star in Japan s contemporary
art scene, 27 year old Kohno graduated from Tokyo University with
an MA from the Graduate School of Fine Arts in 1999. Kohno's is an
emerging talent with a unique vision. She has showed her paintings
at group exhibitions including 2008s Girlish Blends at gallery ni
modo in Tokyo , and the Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi 2009 show at Gyoko-dori
Underground Gallery. In works
such as The Bloom or A Quiet Paradise in the Woods, Kohno depicts
sweet, wide-eyed girls morphing into animals with wings or scales,
in dark pastel colorsagainst haunting, black backgrounds. Her work
was recently included in Vogue Nippon, which anointed her one of Japan
s emerging trend setters, and a leader in the new global Kawaii culture.
Together, Kohno and Uchiide have created a florescent fantasy world
for women in search of a renewed sense of wonder.
