The fabrics range from exuberant crushed velvet, layered playfully for volume, to soft acrylic mohair which are drawn together creating a canvas for the many facets of womenhood. Discreet slashes show flashes of the layers underneath and are one of several distinctive recurring features which give the collection consistency. Juxtaposed with severe slashes are delicate bows, whose forms translate into the folds and shape of the dresses, and relate to the the designers own adolescence. Wool sits alongside metallic embellishments, conveying power and restraint. Super-hero style capes are attached to sophisticated winter coats, their structure defying the demure grey colour, again hinting at the playful duplicity which lies beneath the surface of the female psyche. ...........Much of the range of emotion in the collection is achieved through colour. Tones of grey and peach gradient to sensual deep purples, teals and blacks. The pallete depends on grown up jewel tones offset with feminine gold, rose and carmine accents. The density of emotion in the collection is supported through the use of colour. Cutting edge prints provide endnotes to the collection, showing the poles of spectrum, featuring almost abstracted white rabbits or fierce black tigers. |

season, the signature smiling face has also been applied to heart shaped
cuffs and charms which sit alongside candy coloured gems and gold letters.
Lettering is seen across the range of jewellery, and acts like a reminder
of youth and innocence - reminiscent of the schooldays and punishments
at the blackboard. This concept has been snappily adapted to adult life,
where phrases such as I will never fall for bad boys again remind
the wearer of their youth. Continuing the theme of naughtiness and pop
culture references are the cuffs from the wrestler collection, which
takes its influence from graffiti and features shaped enamel in neon
colours.
The luxury line of jewellery in this collection perfectly compliments the structured cut of the attire collection, using Art Deco shapes and Swarovski crystals to create a feel of elegance. The necklaces are in familiar jewel tones and feature strings of chain with rectangular cut jewels and gold lettering, connecting the two parts of the collection. |
