True (True Plookpanya) and The Nation, has organized the English reading
competition project of “Readers’ Theatre Season 2.” The winners will
be announced with the awards worth over 165,000 Baht.

Asia Books, in association with True (True Plookpanya)
and The Nation, has organized the English reading competition project
of “Readers’ Theatre Season 2.” With the long and elaborate consideration
of the committee, the final round will be held on 24 November 2010 at
Grand Hall , Siam Discovery.
...........Mrs. Panwadee Reechaipichitkul, the Assistant Managing Director of Asia Books, mentioned that the project “ Asia Books Readers’ Theatre Competition,” first initiated with the main purpose to promote the English reading among Thai youth, was successfully welcomed. For this year, Asia Books Readers’ Theatre Competition Season 2 has been still interested by the youth, instructors and parents. All works submitted by the candidates indicate their effort and ability because all participating candidates have to practice several fields such as English reading, theatre skills and performance creativity. |

this season, there are 23 final teams; 4 teams and 6 teams from Thai
and English program schools in Bangkok and nearby provinces aged 9-12
and 13-16 years old, respectively including 7 teams and 6 teams from
bilingual schools, international schools and English tutorial schools
aged 9-12 and 13-16 years old, respectively. The candidates will be
considered and judged by the honorable experts for the following criteria
– correct English reading, emotion and imagination of reading, creativity
and theatre performance. Our English experts for Season 2 include, for
instance, Mr. Christopher Wright, the host of “Christ Delivery” and
owner of “Wright English Club,”

Ms. Arisara Tanapakit or Tutor Nan, the deputy managing director and chief edutainer of Enconcept E-Academy, Ajarn Oraya Sutabutr, the English expert, Ms. Navarat Kitiyakara Na Ayudhya etc. Besides, Asia Books would like to specially thank several organizations and partners like True (True Plookpanya), The Nation, PlayAct Development Co., Ltd., AB Food and Beverages (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the manufacturer of Ovaltine products, and S Club (Siam Center Youth Club). In addition, we hope that the next seasons of Asia Books Readers’ Theatre will be greatly supported as before. |

Books’ Readers’ Theatre” is one of the social activities initiated under
the project of Asia Books Library For Kids with the main purpose to
promote and encourage Thai youth to realize the importance of English
reading. By this season, the works of the winners will be re-produced
as English sound books; the books will be then donated to the blind
and various school libraries in Thailand .
