WHAT
SHOULD STUDENTS WEAR?
? Every student will be a given a T-shirt in the Fusion trademark colour which they are required to wear during workshop hours. Additional T-shirts may be purchased at a price of THB 250. ? Students should wear black leggings or any loose-fitting black trousers. ? Ideally, we would like our students to wear special split-sole dance or jazz dance shoes. These may be purchased in Bangkok at the Capezio shop in Phayathai Road (opposite MBK), tel 0-2658-4066. However, ordinary trainers may be worn. WILL STUDENTS GET REGULAR BREAKS Each day will be divided into sessions that are 45-60 minutes long (sessions for younger students will be shorter) with plenty of time to relax, ask questions and get refreshments. Students will be encouraged to drink plenty of water throughout the day and healthy snacks will provided in the morning and afternoon break time. Lunch will be provided for full-day students only. WHAT IF MY CHILD IS SHY? Fusion Founder Ben Douglas has many years of experience of working with children and young people, and has a very special ability to engage with children and bring them “out of their shell”. In fact, Fusion Workshops are a great way for youngsters of all ages to boost their confidence and learn important life skills that they will be able to use in their normal academic studies. Ben will be on hand at all times to offer help and advice to students and their parents. WHAT ARE THE SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS? Harrow International School, the setting for the 2009 Workshops, prides itself on providing a safe and secure environment for every one. Students will be required to be signed in or signed out by their parents or registered caregiver. In the event of any doubt, adults will be asked to show some form of ID. All the teachers flying in from the UK have been thoroughly vetted and their backgrounds checked with the Criminal Records Bureau. No adult will ever be allowed to be in a room alone with a child. WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING? Your child doesn’t really need to bring anything but energy, a good attitude and bags of enthusiasm. Students will not be allowed to use mobile phones or electronic devices of any kind during the workshops and it is probably better if such items are left at home. If students bring snacks from home, we request that they are nutritious and healthy. If you decide to allow your child to bring sweets, crisps, fizzy drinks etc we request that they do not share them with other pupils.
